Kaye' s Quilt

This was Saturdays effort after all of the housework was done, well the washing and vaccuming anyway! Lovely rich colours that Kaye has used. She is in Qld at the moment escaping the cold so I do hope that its a nice warm  welcome for her when she arrives home.
It has been very frosty here the last couple of days.  And my heater died at work today.  My boss recommended that I wear thermals -, and that really got my back up.  I work in an office for goodness sake!!

Another drab wet cold week. Yuk Roll on sunshine. Another quilt from Ronette off the frame.

Tonight I was about to do some ironing, and off went the TV, the computer as bipping at me and the fuse had blown. After a process of elimination, the iron is now in the bin. I did like that iron too. It was a Tefal. Will have to get another from HN tomorrow. Until then the ironing can wait.

This quilt came off the frame last week. Its as big as I have done. Love the touch of blue with all the balck and white. Last weekend I did a 3 day master class with Deb Louie. Very much worth while. Cheers Edie

Civil War Quilt

I tried to post last night but it would not happen so I'll try again tonight. We had a sewing day on Saturday pm I managed to finish piecing my top. Now I'm wondering whether to give it a border and if so 2 or 4 inches. It will be in the dark brown of the corner stones.

Also finished a large quilt on the frame. It was a relief to get it done. The largest I have had on the frame so far.

On the home front, Paul was driving my car on SAturday am when an uninsured driver pulled out in front of him. About $3,000.00 damage. What a pain in the butt.

An while I'm having a moan, I am owed back pay from Feb last year until April this year when my payrate was changed, and I am still waiting on payroll to work out my back pay. How long should it take. It is over two months now. Perhaps they will pay interest, but then I would have to wait even longer for them to work that out.
