REflection of sunset

I looked outside one night and there was a very pink sunset and it was reflecting off the teatrees across the road. The photo is a bit fuzzy but you get the idea. Last night I looked for the aurora but did not see anything before it was time for bed.

Happy New Year!

A UFO finish for 2013. Started in a class at AQC. We raffled it at the Devonport show. I had 4 days off in October and came back to a line up of quilts that kept me on my toes until Christmas. Al selection of those quilts. I hope that you all had a great Christmas and New Year. I only got the two days off but they were both very enjoyable.

Winter is back?

Seems like winter is back, but perhaps its just a very wet spring. We had a great cat show last weekend, but didn't get around to taking any photos. Was back into quilting this week. A couple with embroidery a panel and a love quilt.

We have had a hint of spring this week. Lovely to see the sun. Some show and tell - a completed quilt that turned out much better than expected. And a small split 9 patch. Both quilted with "Japanese Clouds" pantograph from Lorien Quilting. A sewing day in the pipeline for tomorrow. Will have to be up early to get my housework done before I go.

A wet and windy week. Saturday saw me at a family get together, and Sunday I was at Campbell Town for a meeting. Interesting drive - water over the raod in a couple of places and so much water in the paddocks. I did have time for a couple of quilts. One a Halloween bright quilted in day glow orange and green and then a lovely french general hexagon quilt
Both of the quilts had pieced backings.

Some wild and woolly weather in this part of the world. A cracker of a storm last night. The river had broken its banks and is well flooded. I have finished quilting a couple of quilts this week.

I have had a trip away. I went to Bendigo, did a little shopping from Melbourne to Echuca. Lots of patchwork shops visited, and some sightseeing on the way. Once I arrived home there were quilts to be done.I just love to see all of the different tops that I get to turn into quilts.
