Spring time

What a week.  Rain, sunshine it must be spring. I even have a flag iris in flower  At least my washing was done yesterday when the sun was out. I even did a little cooking.  Pity it didn't shine today. I was up early but haven't done much all day.  Delivered Elaine's quilt pictured above, went to Burnie to see Mum and my sisters. Lets hope there isn't too much more rain

Klosjes Finished

This quilt had been my "hand project" for a couple of years at least.  I did it in reproduction fabric. It was really easy to prepare blocks quickly which is what I needed.  It is all hand pieced and I would have loved to hand quilt or custom quilt it but then I decided that if it was to be finished I would do it on the frame. So thats just what I did.  The binding only needs to be sewn down now.  So this week when I get home from work I must do some work in the garden.  I should have done it this weekend. It was windy but no rain.  Rexi has been digging up my dahlia bulbs so I have to keep on covering them up.

Elaines quilt

Elaine finished her quilt that was originally planned for a relative.  Due to the length of time to make the quilt, it is now being donated to a worthwhile charity.  It was purchased as a kit from the US.

We met her new pup last night. Teddy is a cutee (sheltie). I will get a photo new week.

More finishes

Another one for the shop.  Love the freshness of the blue and white. Below is the latest addition to the kitchen.  My blueberry KitchenAid. Its the first stand mixer that I have had.
Picturd at right are two ducks that I came across in a ditch along Sheehan Walk last week when I was walking the dog.

Weekend sewing at the library with the girls.  We started at 10.00 am and I went through till 8.30 pm.  We had dinner at the RSL. One of my projects was my New York Beauty. I have been working on it for at least 4 years on and off.    On Sunday the family visited for the afternoon so I cooked scones.  And guess what?  I have ordered my Kitchen Aid Mixer.  Boysenberry is the colour that I chose.I also quilted a small quilt for a friend during the week.

Kaffe is Hot

Kaffe is Hot
I have just finished quilting my quilt on the frame.  I used a new panto that I got from Lorien. Pleased with the way it worked.  I've also been making the Dog a coat .  Paul seemed to think that she was cold.  More likely he was cold.  I have used a practice piece of my quilting.  Its half done - the dog is asleep on the couch and doesn't want to move.  I need to measure for the underbelly attachments.

Kaye' s Quilt

This was Saturdays effort after all of the housework was done, well the washing and vaccuming anyway! Lovely rich colours that Kaye has used. She is in Qld at the moment escaping the cold so I do hope that its a nice warm  welcome for her when she arrives home.
It has been very frosty here the last couple of days.  And my heater died at work today.  My boss recommended that I wear thermals -, and that really got my back up.  I work in an office for goodness sake!!
