Something mum gave me.

After the weekend away, I came down with a cough which has developed into a horrid cold.  Thanks Mum.  The weekend was mostly wasted because I felt like crap.  But the antibiotics must be doing some good. Looking forward to this coming weekend at Camp Clayton.  A group of us tassy squilters have a great time sewing eating relaxing reading walking sleeping...

This is Lynettes quilt that I finished this week.  Hope she likes it.

And a weekend away with family..  We stayed at Orani House at Sorell.  If the weather had been kinder our Saturday would have been more enjoyable.

Spring time

What a week.  Rain, sunshine it must be spring. I even have a flag iris in flower  At least my washing was done yesterday when the sun was out. I even did a little cooking.  Pity it didn't shine today. I was up early but haven't done much all day.  Delivered Elaine's quilt pictured above, went to Burnie to see Mum and my sisters. Lets hope there isn't too much more rain

Klosjes Finished

This quilt had been my "hand project" for a couple of years at least.  I did it in reproduction fabric. It was really easy to prepare blocks quickly which is what I needed.  It is all hand pieced and I would have loved to hand quilt or custom quilt it but then I decided that if it was to be finished I would do it on the frame. So thats just what I did.  The binding only needs to be sewn down now.  So this week when I get home from work I must do some work in the garden.  I should have done it this weekend. It was windy but no rain.  Rexi has been digging up my dahlia bulbs so I have to keep on covering them up.

Elaines quilt

Elaine finished her quilt that was originally planned for a relative.  Due to the length of time to make the quilt, it is now being donated to a worthwhile charity.  It was purchased as a kit from the US.

We met her new pup last night. Teddy is a cutee (sheltie). I will get a photo new week.

More finishes

Another one for the shop.  Love the freshness of the blue and white. Below is the latest addition to the kitchen.  My blueberry KitchenAid. Its the first stand mixer that I have had.
Picturd at right are two ducks that I came across in a ditch along Sheehan Walk last week when I was walking the dog.
