We have had a hint of spring this week. Lovely to see the sun. Some show and tell - a completed quilt that turned out much better than expected. And a small split 9 patch. Both quilted with "Japanese Clouds" pantograph from Lorien Quilting. A sewing day in the pipeline for tomorrow. Will have to be up early to get my housework done before I go.

A wet and windy week. Saturday saw me at a family get together, and Sunday I was at Campbell Town for a meeting. Interesting drive - water over the raod in a couple of places and so much water in the paddocks. I did have time for a couple of quilts. One a Halloween bright quilted in day glow orange and green and then a lovely french general hexagon quilt
Both of the quilts had pieced backings.

Bed runner
What a great idea for a gift. I quilted a bedrunner this week. Doesn't take as much time as a quilt, but still a thoughtful personal gift. This one is in creams and will have a matching cushion.
This one is a beginners quilt by Karen in lovely Tilda Fabrics. We have had some very cold weather this week. Really need a quilt on the bed for extra warmth.
One afternoon about 4.00pm when I was walking the dog this week there was still frost on the ground that had not melted all day. The next afternoon the patch had grown and was even larger. Needless to say I was well rugged up in my beanie scarf and gloves.

Good day for sewing
After a cold night (spent at a BBQ outside) I was at Picture Patchwork today taking a class . The girl made chenille cushions and did a fantastic job of them. They all looked great and will be even better once thay have been washed to fluff them up a bit.
I also did some quilting on the frame this weekend. This one is for Selina. A very graphic piece of fabric. Quilted with a Lorien Quilting pantograph called Dazzle.
A very satisfying weekend.
